Our First Married Christmas!

I have a co-worker who was trying to get rid of some small pine trees in her front yard and invited us to take one.  Ta-dah!  Our first Christmas tree! 

When we arrived at her house to dig it up, it was a lot smaller than we expected.  A true Charlie Brown tree.  It was so small we were afraid it wouldn't hold our ornaments. It ended up holding a few lights but the star at the top was just a little too heavy.  

A balancing act...

With just a little coaxing, we were able to get our tree to stand up straight.  Perfect to put our presents around!  We plan to plant our tree at Brianhead to let it keep growing and maybe we'll be able to use it as our large family Christmas tree one day?
